WMF's history began with a metalware factory in Geislingen in 1853. Cutlery played an important role early on, and the first Cromargan® cutlery was introduced in 1932, a name that has since become closely associated with WMF. The interest in design and practical use continues in today's range.

WMF Professional offers products for several areas of hotel and restaurant operations. The range includes cutlery, pots, serving items and buffet equipment, as well as porcelain, glassware and kitchen products. This breadth is useful when planning a complete service, from coffee at the breakfast table to food presentation on the buffet. Offices and serviced apartments can also find many of their everyday essentials within the same brand.
